Small Man Cave Ideas

Hidden Guest Bed

Incorporate a guest bed into your existing design rather than putting up new partitions to get a separate bedroom. This Murphy bed employs a suspension system that makes it possible to lift with one finger. On each side of this queen-size bed, a market in the wall acts as a side table and can be wired with a reading light. After the bed is folded up, homeowners Barbara and Michael Purdy use the freed-up area as a workout area.

Work with plumbing.

Putting this bath beside the plumbing shaft made room for a freestanding sink at the small bathroom. New plumbing was added from the laundry area, along with the HVAC ducts were increased into the ceiling joists to permit for as much headroom as possible.

Playful Home Office - Embrace brick walls instead of drywalling above them.

A red accent wall adds the look of depth to this room and feels bold and cheerful in contrast to the basement's easy black and white scheme. The gallery wall features original drawings from designer Theresa Casey and her husband, Robert Gray.

Dark TV Area-Accessorize with cheap vintage finds.

It appears counter intuitive to paint your cellar ceiling and walls in such a darkened hue, but stylist Arren Williams maintained the space glowing with mood light. The undermount lighting in the high-gloss storage components highlights our collections, states Williams. This contemporary design has a masculine sense without crying out bachelor pad.
